The Karnataka chief minister H.D.Kumaraswamy is presiding over his last film function before relinquishing the power to Bharatiya Janata Party of the coalition government in October this year. Known as producer, distributor and exhibitor CM of Karnataka HD Kumaraswamy is attending the three hours award evening on 30th August (Thursday) at 6 pm at Gnanajyothi auditorium, Central College, Bangalore.
In all 30 winners will be presented to the 2006-2007 state film awards. Among the seniors director Singeetham Srinivasa Rao the veteran in South India is receiving Late Puttanna Kanagal award. Dr.Rajkumar award goes to veteran actress M N Lakshmidevi. Producer, director, actor Dwarakish is given life time achievement award at this function.
The deputy chief minister B.S.Yediyurappa, Ambarish MP, industry minister Katta Subramanya Naidu, health minister R.Ashok, MP Sangliana, Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce President Tallam Nanjunda Shetty will preside over the function.
