The decision of KRG of South Indian Film Chamber of Commerce in suspending the Karnataka members till the Tamil film issue is resolved in Karnataka is hasty and immature says K.C.N.Chandrasekhar who was the President of SIFCC for two times in the past.
The oral order of suspension of Karnataka members of 160 plus is motivated and emotional one. The issue of suspension is effective only when the executive council meeting of SIFCC passes an order to discuss the issue of suspension in the General Body meeting. It is at the General Body meting the decision is passed. It cannot happen from just a mere statement from KRG say KCN Chandrasekhar a senior producer and exhibitor of Kannada cinema.
Instead of such hasty decisions to announce suspension the senior members could have been called for a meeting and fixed the responsibility and deadline to solve the Tamil film crisis suggest KCN Chandrsekhar speaking to this correspondent.
The bigwigs in Tamil industry should also know that nearly 40 Tamil films release in Karnataka region that make a business of Rs.15 to 20 crores annually. The hasty announcement of suspension would instigate people to take up nasty action fears KCN Chandrasekhar.
