Mammootty, the big M of Malayalam cinema, is reportedly all set to be active in Kollywood as well. The megastar is not eyeing the big budget venture, but plans to do some performance-oriented roles. If the reports are to be true, Mammootty will soon team up with National award winner Seenu Ramasamy for his next Tamil outing.
However, the reports are yet to be officially confirmed. Seenu is the director of the upcoming Vijay Sethupathi movie, Dharmadurai. Mammootty will soon make a comeback into the Tamil movie industry after a long break, with National award-winning director Ram's upcoming movie Peranbu.
Mammootty made his Tamil movie debut in the year 1990, with Malayalam director K Madhu's Tamil directorial debut Mounam Sammadham. Later, he played the lead role in legendary director K Balachander's Azhagan. The Mollywood megastar got the biggest break in his Tamil movie career with the 1991 released Mani Ratnam movie Thalapathi, in which he shared the screen with superstar Rajinikanth. He later appeared in several popular Tamil films including Rajiv Menon's Kandukondein Kandukondein and N Linguswamy's Aanandam. We are waiting for Mammootty to confirm the reports officially soon.
