Meera Jasmine, the National award-winning actress finally responded to the never-ending controversies and opened up about her personal life. Meera was talking in the recent interview given to Malayala Manorama. The actress states that she is not bothered about the controversies. Meera says that she has never allowed such issues to affect her personal life and doesn't want anyone to enter her private space, except the family.
She also revealed that her family has absolutely no issues with her acting career. Meera, who is all set for a second innings in the movie industry, is depicting a bold Police Officer, in her comeback movie 10 Kalpanakal. Meera feels that the industry is still not very supportive to the married actresses, and the female leads are restricted to the arm-candy roles. But, the leading men are receiving highly exciting roles to perform.
The actress ensures that she has no plans to quit her acting career, and wants to handle both her family and film career with equal priority. Meera says that being a wife or mother is not a hurdle for an actress. She is extremely impressed with the new wave in the movie industry. Meera feels that young generation film-makers of Mollywood are supremely talented, and they can bring several positive changes into the industry. Her character in 10 Kalpanakal, which marks the directorial debut of editor Don Max, is Shaziya Akbar, a very different Police Officer. Interestingly it is an independent character with no romantic shades.
