Choreographer-turned-actor Harikumar's Thiruththam will release this weekend. The actor made his debut before the screen with Thoothukudi, directed by Sanjay Ram.
'Thiruththam is an unusual story where in I play a soft criminal. It has negative shades', says Harikumar.
Harikumar has choreographed more than 100 films in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam. The likes of Mammootty, Mohanlal, Dileep, Kunchacko Boban, Nagarjuna, Prabhas, Udaykiran, Jagapathibabu, Vijayakanth, Prasanna, Shaam, Dhanush and Arun Kumar had danced to his steps.
For Thiruththam, Harikumar has choreographed his own dance numbers to the tunes of Praveen Mani. The story revolves around the hero, who turns an anti-social after ill treated by the society.
On his unusual getup in the film, he says, 'Using computer graphics, I experimented with different looks and zeroed on a particular one'.
Harikumar appears with bent nose and protruding teeth. Mansi plays his heroine in the movie.
