Karunaas is joining the long list of comedians who are turning heroes. Filming for 'Dindigul Sarathy' in which he plays hero is nearing completion.
Says Karunaas, ' It was not my conscious decision to play hero. Director Subramaniam Pilai approached me and was of the opinion that I would fit the character'.
The movie is a remake of Malayalam hit 'Vadakku Nokki Yenthram'. Karthika plays the heroine.
Sreenivasan, a prominent comedian-turned-hero in Malluwood, played the hero in the original.
