Actress Pooja, who made her debut with the film ‘J J’, became popular with her acting in ‘Naan Kadavul’. Suddenly, she decided to quit the movies and want to settle with a family. While giving an interview on this, she said “I entered the film field in 2004. Though I got many film offers, I did not grab them all but chose my films carefully. I have done only 10 films in these 6 years.
The last Tamil film I acted in was ‘Naan Kadavul’ that got me recognition as a good actress and I convey my gratitude to all concerned. The Sinhalese film ‘Kalandhatanuna Jeevithe’ in which I have acted is due for release next month. This would be my last film. I plan to quit films.
My parents want me to settle down and start a family. As a caring daughter, it is my duty to fulfill their wishes. There is no plan as such and it will happen whenever it is meant to happen. All I want is my husband to love towards me. I have no great dreams of how my husband should be. I am not bothered about his complexion. I do not like smoking and drinking, so he should be a person without those habits. I just want him to be a reasonably good match for me.”
