Bitten by the action bug is Shaam. He is all set to leave his soft-romantic hero image to flex his muscles for his next film.
In Inba, he plays a tough and a violent auto-driver. Sneha is paired opposite him.
'I had lost considerable weight to look the boy next-door in Inba. I like to talk a lot. I do rigorous workouts these days. I prefer to stay calm and get into a groove to perform the role', adds Shaam.
Yesteryear hero Arun Pandian plays a cameo in the movie. Actresses Rekha and Sulakshana are also in the cast.
Inba has dialogues by writers Subha, cinematography by Sai Thrilok and music by debutant C P Balaji.
Being produced by KSVR for Rathnamala Movies production house, the movie is planned for a release this August.
Shaam says, 'I don't want myself to be tagged as soft hero. I like to do varied roles. Inba is a movie for me to show my skill in doing action roles'.
