In retaliation the Kannada filmdom showed its strength on Friday morning by assembling at 10 am in front of Town Hall on the busy JC Road and unanimously condemned the attributions made by Tamil Nadu chief Minister M.Karunanidhi on the Hogennakal issue and on Kannadigas. The protest would take a serious turn in the coming days it is reliably learnt.
Kannada film industry personalities Smt.Parvathamma Rajakumar, V.Ravichandran, Upendra, Srinath, Mukyamantri Chandru, Darshan, Sa.Ra.Govindu, KFCC members, Raghavendra Rajakumar, Dr.Jayamala, Thara, Jaggesh, Puneeth Rajakumar, Prem, Srinivasamurthy, Basanthkumar Patil, golden star Ganesh, Vijay, Ramya, Vijaya Raghavendra, Murali, Ramkumar, sunder Raj, Chindodi Leela, Anu Prabhakar, Rangayana Raghu, C.V.L.Sastry, KSL Swamee, Karisubbu, Umesh, MN Lakshmidevi, Pushpaswamy, directors, technicians and cinema workers took part in the protest dharna.
Dr.Rajakumar Abhimanigala Sangha President Sa.Ra.Govindu made it clear that we will not tolerate any injustice. He cautioned the TN Chief Minister to behave properly in his speeches. Smt.Parvathamma Rajakumar said clearly that when it comes to land, water and Kannada language we will not sit quiet.
