Even though Navya has got no releases for this Vishu in Malayalam, her film with director-actor Cheran's Mayakkannadi has raised the highest expectations in the Tamil New Year.
The film places her in the role of a beauty parlor employee, a city girl with trendy costumes, unlike her previous homely roles.
As the film is expected to do the best in the season, she is thrilled about her role in the film. She was stuck to homely roles in her previous films like Chidambarathil Oru Appasamy, Amirtham and Aadum Koothu.
Navya is in all praise for Cheran who has casted her in back to back roles in Aadum Koothu and Mayakkannadi. She is thankful to the director to have her escape the stereotypes and helped her in a role of difference.
Meanwhile, her Malayalam film Saira directed by Dr Biju has been selected to the Cannes festival and is the opening film of the Indian section there. She has also been signed up for a Kannada flick, a film in Malayalam with Indrajith and another news is doing the rounds that she has been asked to act opposite Siddharth in a new film.
Altogether it seems to be a good time of Navya.
