Opthamologist Dr. Gayathri Srikanth, the author of Rajinikanth's biography titled 'The Name Is Rajinikanth', recently met the Chief Minister Kalaignar M. Karunanidhi to present him a copy of her book. The book, which gives detailed account of Rajini's life, has also dealt with the political developments surrounding Rajini's name in the past one and half decades.
The book that has put together the incidents happened in the life of Superstar right from his childhood till the success of 'Sivaji'. The incidents are interestingly narrated like a film script and the book has been selling like a hot cake. It is learnt that 20000 copies have been sold so far and 10000 more copies would be printed soon.
Now the work to release the book in Tamil is going on in a full swing. Earlier, the publishers (Om Books International) and the author wanted to release both the versions simultaneously but they could not make the Tamil version ready before the date of release. Fortunately, the delay in the Tamil version has proved to be a blessing in disguise. A few suggestions made by some after reading the English book will be incorporated in the Tamil version. The elaborate details of Sivaji's success, for example, will be added in the Tamil book.
What was Rajini's reaction to the book? He liked the book, says the sources close to the author. He also opined that more space could have been given to the spiritual dimension. Tamil book will also take this opinion into account. The release of the Tamil book titled as 'Pera Kettaley Athiruthulla'' might take place during the first week of May.
The biography is also planned to be released in Hindi language soon.
