Raghuvannan, son of actor-director Manivannan, was introduced to filmdom by his father in Maran, a few years ago. Unfortunately, the movie did not do well at the box-office forcing Manivannan to alter all his plans.
Now Manivannan is nursing ambitions to relaunch his son to the silver screen.
Talking to media persons at the sets of Nam Nadu, Manivannan said, 'I feel the time has come to relaunch my son. I would be directing a movie Agadhi, which would feature Raghuvannan in the lead role. Search is on for the heroine. Quite appropriate to the title, the movie deals about the Lankan refugees. We are planning to shoot the movie in Sri Lanka'.
A dotting father, Manivannan says, 'Raghuvannan has learnt the nuances of acting and has prepared physically and mentally to face the challenges of this competitive industry'.
The shooting would commence soon.
Meanwhile, Manivannan has donned the role of Chief Minister in Sarath Kumar's Nam Nadu.
He says, 'It is a powerful character in the movie. But I have not been inspired by any living personalities to do the role'.
