Director AR Murugadoss bilingual featuring Mahesh Babu and Rakul Preet Singh went on floors recently. The latest addition to this cast list is RJ Balaji who will be playing the role of Mahesh Babu’s friend in the film. It has to be recalled that he had won The People of Chennai award recently for his work during Chennai floods.
Updating about this, Balaji says, “I am excited to be a part of ARM sir’s film as I respect him a lot and love his works. It might sound clichéd but that is the fact. I have seen his Ramana innumerable times. His films with Vijaykanth or Vijay or Ajith or Suriya have always been a milestone one in the respective actor’s careers and have attained a cult status.
In this film, I will be essaying the role of Mahesh Babu’s friend. I met Mahesh Babu, a few days ago. He looks like a Hollywood hero, so fair and tall. He is like five Angelina Jolies put together!!"
On Mani Ratnam’s Kaatru Veliyidai, Balaji updates that he has completed most of his portions and a little left to be canned. He adds, “I am glad that things are going on in the right direction for me. I am just about completing Mani sir’s film and I got ARM sir’s project. I should say I am blessed”.
Balaji is also a part of Jiiva’s Ki, Mohan-Raja-Sivakarthikeyan’s project and Vignesh Shivan’s Kaathu Vaakkula Rendu Kaadhal. He has completed Devi (L), Kadavul Irukkan Kumaru and Kavalai Vendam.
We wish you the best Balaji!
