Santhanam started his career with a comedy spoof show 'Lollu Sabha' on the small screen. He graduated to play comedy roles on the big screen with the hit film 'Manmadhan'.
He managed to garner a lot of attention and soon acted with all top stars including Vijay, Ajith, Suriya, and Dhanush. He is very eagerly awaiting the release of 'Kuselan' in which he shares the screen with superstar Rajinikanth.
To cap them all, he played the lead role in the film 'Arai En 305il Kadavul'.
He has been getting offers to play lead roles but then the smart Santhanam seems to be wary of accepting them as of now. 'I somehow feel I had played the protagonist pretty quickly in my career. I would like to cement my place in the industry and then experiment. I have no plans of playing hero in the near future,' he says.
