Prithviraj and Prakash Raj starrer 'Vellitherai' has made mockery on the stars, who relish having special titles before their names. It is a well known fact that almost all the stars in Kollywood have titles before their names and 'Vellitherai', which took a critical view on the star centric culture, had made fun on this trend. The criticism has naturally triggered some ripples among the stars.
Prakash Raj, in a recent interview, has told that the film criticises the trend of having a superlative title after just a couple of hits. 'Titles should be given by the people. Stars having titles according to their wishes, is unacceptable. 'Vellitherai' criticises this trend', said the producer cum actor.
When queried about Prakash Raj's opinion on this issue, Sarath Kumar, the president of Actors' Association said, 'It is his opinion and I have nothing to comment on it as the president of the association'.
However, it is said that many stars, who have titles before their names are not comfortable with 'Vellitherai's (read Prakashraj's) attempt to criticise the stars.
