Young costume designer NJ Sathya is making huge strides in Kollywood. After working with Atlee in 'Raja Rani' and Ilayathalapathy Vijay starrer blockbuster 'Theri' he is presently part of quite a few big ticket projects including Vijay's 60th film 'Bairavaa' and Vijay Sethupathi's upcoming release 'Rekka'..
Speaking in his interview to a leading daily, about his work in 'Bairavaa', the young and vibrant talent said Vijay gives utmost freedom for the director and costume designer in the selection of clothes. Vijay loved the black colour coat he sports in the First look poster. Hence this costume used for publicity still will be included in a song in the film.
Sathya says that a particular shirt worn by Vijay in the film will become a style statement after the release of 'Bairavaa'. The shirt will have an unusual pattern. The collar and the patch below the elbow will have the same colour as the pant while the other parts of the shirt will have a different colour.
Apart from his busy schedule as a designer, Sathya is also accepting acting offers. He has acted in Sasikumar's 'Vetrivel' and 'Kidaari'. He will be seen in G.V.Prakash starrer 'Adangathey' and Udhayanidhi Stalin's new film directed by Thalapathy Prabhu.
Sathya says he ventured into acting, to fulfill his father's wish. His father wanted him to become a cricketer and was against his decision to enter film industry. Recently his father suffered a stroke. To fulfill his father's wish Sathya has started acting as it will get him a chance to play in Star cricket tournaments.
