We had earlier reported that the shooting of Ajith's 57th film, to be directed by Siva of Veeram and Vedalam fame, will begin soon. It has now been confirmed by a source close to the project that the film will go on floors from July. Ajith, who will be working with Siva for the third consecutive time, will sign on the dotted lines today (May 5th).
"The makers of the film will officially sign the agreement with Ajith on Thursday. The regular shooting will kick-off from July," the source confirmed. Young music sensation Anirudh will join hands with Siva and his team for the second time in a row. The entire technical team of Vedalam is expected to be retained for this project, which will be bankrolled by Sathya Jyothi Films. The film will predominantly be shot in Australia and will be a slick and stylish entertainer, according to a report. It is also said that Ajith might shed a few kilos for the role.
Though the makers are yet to make an official announcement regarding the film's cast including its female lead, many speculations pertaining to it have been on the rise in the past few days. While many claim that the high budget project will have two heroines in Tamannaah and Hindi actress Kriti Sanon, sources close to the Siruthai director have requested to wait for an official announcement, adding that the makers are yet to zero in on the female lead and that talks have been initiated with top actresses across various film industries. Meanwhile, veteran producer 'Kalaipuli' S Thanu, who is basking in the success of Ilayathalapathy Vijay's latest release Theri, has expressed his interest to work with the Arrambam star, according to reports. Looks like the producer is eyeing for back-to-back biggies with Rajinikanth's Kabali all set for a worldwide release. Kabali too, is bankrolled by Thanu.
