A few days back, it was said that successful female lyricist Thamarai has been called on by the ace director Mani Ratnam for writing the dialogues for his next movie after Raavan.
But now, the latest buzz is that Thamarai denies writing dialogues for Mani Ratnam’s upcoming flick to be with Silambarasan. On speaking about this Thamarai says “I don’t want to diversify at this point of time. My job is to write lyrics and I am content as a poet. I just don’t want to throw away the position I have achieved after putting in much time and hardwork.”
On creating sensational songs in association with Gautham Menon right from ‘Minnale’ she says “Because the director is clear about his demands. He speaks to me a lot about his films and characters before I take the pen. This makes me understand the script well and come out with good lyrics.”
Feeling happy to work with A R Rahman for ‘Vinnai Thandi Varuvaya’, she says “Though I had already penned lyrics for Rahman’s tunes, this is the first time to work with him for a Gautam’s movie. Also, VTV is the music composer’s first Tamil film after winning the Oscars.”
