We reported yesterday, the Vijay Sethupathi-Nayanthara starrer 'Naanum Rowdy Dhaan' directed by Vignesh Sivan of 'Poda Podi' fame will be hitting the screens on October 21 on account of Aayudha Pooja festival. As the release date has been fixed the film was sent for the viewing of Censor Board officials yesterday.
The Censor panel members who watched the film have refused to give a clean chit to the film and have given a U/A certificate which means children below the age of 18 are not allowed to watch the film without their parents. Moreover, the film produced by Dhanush under his Wunderbar Films banner and distributed worldwide by Lyca Productions will not be eligible for the 30% Entertainment Tax Exemption granted by the Tamil Nadu State Government.
'Naanum Rowdy Dhaan' is Nayanthara's 50th film and she plays the role of a hearing impaired girl in the film. The strong supporting cast includes Parthiepan, Radhika, RJ Balaji, Anandraj and Vijay Sethupathi's real life son Suriya. Musical score for the film is by Anirudh Ravichander whose songs are already topping the charts.
