Captain Vijayakanth is back to what he knows the best --- acting. He is busy shooting for his next movie Dharmapuri at the Sri Rangam Ranganatha Swamy temple since Sunday.
Vijayakanth by accepting to be part of Dharmapuri has put an end to speculation that he would bid bye to acting after the success of his recently-floated DMDK in the just concluded Assembly elections.
Dharmapuri is being directed by Perarasu and produced by A M Ratnam.
A huge set with 100 pavement shops was erected near the temple. A mass song featuring Vijayakanth was shot by Perarasu. Vijayakanth appears with his party flag on his hands for the song. Dance master Ashok has choreographed the song. A major portion of the movie would be shot here, says Perarasu.
Fans and DMDK workers from neighbouring towns have poured into Sri Rangam to have a glimpse of Vijayakanth. Meanwhile, reports say, Keerthi Chawla has been assigned to play Vijayakanth's heroine in the movie.
Dharmapuri is set for a release this Deepavali.
