Mirchi Movies Limited, the entertainment arm of the Times Group, has signed director Viji, who wielded the megaphone for 'Vellithirai'.
Buzz is that the movie would be movie would go to floors on September.
'Vellithirai' went on to collect good revenue at the box office and Prithviraj, Prakash Raj and Gopika's performance was widely acclaimed.

In the past, Viji had written dialogues for the 'Mozhi', 'Majaa' and 'M Kumaran S/O Mahalakshmi'.

Mirchi Movies Limited is an independent production house that has acquired the remake rights of the Malayalam blockbuster 'Chocolate' and has also signed the promising young director Milind Rau, former assistant to Mani Ratnam for a film called 'Kaadhal 2 Kalyanam'.
