When every one in the media went gaga over the beginning of Trisha starrer 'Abhiyum Naanum' directed by Radha Mohan, no one seems to have got it right when it comes to name the actor who plays Trisha's mother. Almost all news items that talked about the movie informed that it would be Malayalam actress Laksmi Gopalsamy.
However, musicmazaa found that it would be Aishwarya (Lakshmi's daughter) and not Lakshmi Gopalsamy, who dons the role of Trisha's mother in the movie. The advertisement that announces the commencement of the shooting illustrates this fact with a beautiful picture. The visual has three different attires of three different characters hanging on a clothes line. The shirt carries the name of Prakash Raj, the frock carries the name of Trisha and the long gown/tops has Aishwarya's name on it.
Though this picture clearly shows that Aishwarya would play the mother role in the film, IG contacted the sources in the production unit and got the news confirmed without any doubt.
'Abhiyum Naanum', jointly produced by Prakash Raj's Duet movies and Moser Baer, has a tender story revolving around the relationship between a father and a girl. The movie is just another step ahead for Prakash Raj's Duet movies in its endeavor to encourage making healthy movies like Mozhi.
The movie also marks the evolution of Trisha as an actress who could carry the film without the help of any leading hero. It s heartening to see the damsel to done such a role that could add value to her career.
The movie is planned to a 2008 may release.
