Though it was late Allu Ramalingaiah's wife who spotted her potential son-in-law, her husband was not very keen initially to get his daughter married to an aspiring actor.
But late Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao convinced him that it would be a good match and the engagement ceremony too was carried out in his presence.
