Normally the sons of and daughters of powerful personalities in the industry tend to be haughty or snobbish. But every role has its exception.
And Swapna Dutt is certainly an outstanding exception. Daughter of popular producer Aswini Dutt, Swapna herself is a producer in her own right.
But there is another facet to Aswini. She is a very committed social worker.
As part of her social work, Swapna organised a special programme called Bliss.
Indeed it was bliss for the less priviliged the society.
The proceeds from the show would go to the orphanages.
Kondal Rao and Surekha Chiranjeevi lit the traditional lamp and the show got off to a simple start with a prayer song.
Then one after the another the kids put on a show of delight and dignity. A short film on special children of orphanages was also screened on the occasion. Actress Charmi and TV personality Udaya Bhanu also garced the occasion.
Dutt gave a dignified speech, outlining her vision and her social work.
It was certainly an occasion that left you sad (for the orphans) and happy (that committed workers like Aswini are there to work for them).
