SS Rajamouli's magnum opus, 'Baahubali' was a great success at the box office. But Rajinikanth's 'Kabali' set a whole new example on how to promote a film. Taking a cue from the makers of 'Kabali', Baahubali's producer Shobu Yarlagadda is also planning a similar promotional campaign.
The makers of the SS Rajamouli epic are currently planning to get a pre-release revenue of Rs 350 crore. Since the movie will be released in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi, a huge business is expected. The Tamil Nadu theatrical rights have already been sold for an impressive Rs 45 crore. Andhra Pradesh and Telangana's theatrical rights are expected to be sold for over Rs 100 crore.
Since 'Baahubali' did really well in Hindi as well; the Hindi rights of the sequel are expected to be sold for Rs 120 crore and above. It remains to be seen if this ambitious figures are actually achieved, but knowing the craze of the fantasy franchise in the country, it is more than likely.
