Actor Allari Naresh, who is considered as one of the best comedians in Telugu filmdom, says comedy comes so naturally to him that he doesn't have to put in extra effort to make it work.
"Comedy comes naturally to me. I'm at ease when I'm doing comedy. I feel so comfortable that I don't even have to put in effort to make the jokes work," Naresh told.
"I'm so used to doing comedy that even when I'm asked to perform serious scenes, I try and induce some comedy in it. This attempt has paid off several times," he said.
Having starred in successful Telugu comedies such as "Bendu Apparao RMP", "Seema Sastry" and "Bommana Brothers Chandana Sisters", Naresh assures his forthcoming release "James Bond" will have something different to offer.
"This film too is high on comedy like most of my releases. Usually, I team up with a star comedian to evoke laughter, but in 'James Bond' I've teamed up with Sakshi, who plays the heroine. I'm sure audiences will enjoy our combination," he said.
Sakshi Chaudhary plays Naresh's love interest in the film, which releases in cinemas on Friday.
Talking about his role in the film, Naresh said: "I play a software engineer called Nani. Sakshi, who plays my wife, will be seen as the secret spy James Bond".
Naresh clarifies that the film will not be a spoof of the British character James Bond.
"I've starred in a few spoofs. All films can't be spoofs because then your work will get repetitive," said Naresh, who will soon be seen in another Telugu comedy "Mama Manchu Alludu Kanchu" with veteran actor Manchu Mohan Babu.
Does he not get bored of doing comedy?
"I do comedy films because that's what is expected of me. My few attempts at doing films in other genres didn't work in my favour," he said.
