At a success meet held in Hyderabad, Sundeep Kishan and Regina Cassandra, two of the main leads of the hit 'Nagaram', thanked the media for the immense support from day one.Regina said, "When a show was arranged for media personnel in Chennai three days before the film's release, they only had good things to say about our film. Although some noted that 'Nagaram' has more of Tamil nativity, the people of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana have accepted our film in a big way. We didn't expect this reception. For a debutante, director Lokesh has done a fabulous job.
The music and cinematography have done a phenomenal job. I thank the media for the great reviews".Sundeep Kishan said, "The film was in the making for 2 years. The release got delayed because of post-production and lack of suitable dates for a simultaneous release in Tamil and Telugu. The banner which has made 'Maanagaram' (Tamil version's title) is a big production house who had a few releases coming. Over the past few months, the theatrical release rights of 'Nagaram' changed three hands. By the time AKS Entertainment got the rights, the price increased by Rs. 60 lakhs. I thank the producer Ashwini garu for the patience. I and Regina couldn't promote the film before the release because we were busy with other assignments. That's why we are doing it now. Seven years ago, when 'Prasthanam' got released, people didn't even know about it. Just because of mouth publicity, the audience got to know about it. In the case of 'Nagaram' also, something similar is happening. In a multiplex in Chennai, the first day had only 4 shows. On second day, it played 18 shows. The success of the Tamil version is massive. In Telugu, 30 more theatres have been added".The producer too thanked the media for the support.
