The Telugu film industry is getting ready to celebrate the 'Diamond Jubilee' of the Telugu cinema from January 26 to 28 on a grand scale and in a never before manner. It may be recalled here that the Telugu cinema had completed 75 years by 2006.
The Diamond Jubilee celebrations committee led by Dr D Ramanaidu is working hard to make the programme a grand success. Artistes and technicians of all the 24 departments in the film industry are working day and night for the arrangements and practicing for the cultural programmes.
As part of the programme, an excellent song was scripted by Suddala Ashok Teja and was recorded under the musical direction of Devisri Prasad. The song was choreographed on all the top heroes and some heroines and the shooting was held under the directorial supervision of K Raghavendra Rao and Krishnavamsi.
The shooting of the song was also completed by Friday. The cultural programmes include, a live martial arts play by Power Star Pawan Kalyan, Balakrishna to play a role of Duryodhana in a stage play to be showcased during the programme.
Funds were also collected on a large scale to organise the programme to avoid any problem and to hold the programme without any compromise. The Telugu film industry is the second largest film industry in the country and for the first time, such celebrations are being conducted. Several senior artistes would be felicitated on the occasion.
