In what turned to be a fight to finish for the remake rights of '?ÂÂ?Bommarillu'?ÂÂ?, in Tamil it was actor-producer Prakash Raj, who ultimately snared the remake-rights, of the film right under the noose of many film industrial bigwigs.
The competition was never so tough in recent times for any film. What made almost everyone vie for the remake rights was the treatment of the subject, notwithstanding the story, which was mundane so to speak.
Almost every big and noted producer wanted the remake rights for their sons. To begin with, it was producer A.M.Rathnam, who required the remake rights for him, who wanted to produce the film with his Ravikrishna in the lead.
Then it was Union Minister Dasari Narayana Rao, who wanted to co-produce the film with Editor Mohan.
But, it was Prakash Raj, who had the last laugh. He will be producing the film on Duet Productions in Tamil. Producer '?ÂÂ?Dil'?ÂÂ? Raju, who produced the film Telugu, had said during the making of the film, that Prakash Raj would be given top priority over others, when it comes to recreating the film in Tamil.
