After making waves in telecommunication field by creating a new aura with Reliance Jio, now we heard that Mukesh Ambani is planning to venture his Reliance Jio into movie production business. Sanjay Leela Bhansali is reported to have approached Reliance Jio with the proposal to co-produce ‘Rani Padmavathi’ along with Viacom 18.
Actually, Bhansali closed the deal and made an official announcement of directing ‘Rani Padmavathi’ jointly to be produced by EROS and Viacom 18. At the penultimate hour, EROS stepped back from the deal for different reasons like budget being Rs.150 Crores. Despite the main casting and budget of film being finalized, Eros deciding to opt out has not only shocked Bhansali but Bollywood waited for an official confirmation.
Meanwhile, EROS official spokesperson commented on their company was never associated with a project called ‘Rani Padmavathi.’ All in all, Reliance Jio being in talks with Sanjay Leela Bhansali is happy news for Deepika Padukone because she signed the deal to play title role taking a huge remuneration of Rs.13 Crores!
