Dil Raju, the ace producer of Tollywood, is well aware of pros and cons of cinema distribution. The distributor turned producer had many a times proven how to handle it. And yet again, he's back in headlines by breaking the stereotype in production-distribution business.
In what we call it a gutsy and brilliant move, Dil Raju has inked a deal with an overseas distribution company, Blue Sky Cinemas. Reportedly, the overseas rights of Dil Raju's next four films (Duvvada Jagannadham, Fida, Nenu Local, Shatamanam Bhavati) were outrightly bagged by Blue Sky Cinemas for a whopping 18.5 Cr - and there's a catch too!
Besides what is agreed, the producer had put forth a special demand by seeking a portion of amount from overseas shares. Clearly, a smart move by Dil Raju.
All the films are being rolled out under SVC Cinemas, wherein DJ has Allu Arjun in lead, Fida has Varun Tej, Nenu Local has Nani and Sharwanand in Shatmanam Bhavati. Let us wait and check out how these flicks will fare at box office, particularly overseas.
