Filmmaker Harish Shankar, who awaits the release of forthcoming Telugu film "Subramanyam for Sale", believes no matter how talented one is, it's the success that really counts when it comes to cinema.
"The industry rides on success, so talent really doesn't matter. What really matters is whether you're able to deliver a hit film," Harish told.
Returning with "Subramanyam for Sale", which releases on Thursday, after the failure of "Ramayya Vasatavayya", Harish has realised what a flop could do one's career.
"Flops can have an adverse effect. The failure of 'Ramayyaa...' came as a big blow, but I learnt so much about life from the whole experience. I think failure teaches you more about so many things than success," he said.
Talking about "Subramanyama...", he said it's a love story with all the necessary ingredients of a commercial outing.
The film features Sai Dharam Tej, Regina Cassandra and Adah Sharma in lead roles.
