The much awaited movie of the year 2016, 'Brahmotsavam' has bombed at the box office. The lead of the movie Mahesh Babu has taken the blame for the failure and has apologized for disappointing his fans. While, both the movie's team and the fans are trying to get over the major jolt, a TRS MLA had passed rude comments on the movie. It goes without saying that this has become the talk of the town.
TRS MLA Rasamayi Balakishan at a film event made comparison between two movies- Bichagadu and Brahmotsavam and thereby belittled Mahesh Babu starrer movie. He advised the audience to watch movies with good content even if it a low budget movie and not fall for multi-starrer movies.
He said, ""Even though I am busy with my professional commitments, I took ticket by standing in queue and watched a film, after hearing good reports about it. In fact, two films Brahmotsavam and Bichagadu released around same time. While Bichagadu had seen Brahmotsavam (grand run) at box office, Brahmotsavam had become Bichagadu (Begger- means flop maker)."
This sure hasn't gone done well with Mahesh's fans but they couldn't say anything as their hero had let them down. Bichagadu, which is a low budget movie surprised everyone by making a huge collection of Rs 13 crores at the box office.
