'Evil will never get the better of good,' says Aishwarya Rai reacting to the dastardly bomb blasts in Mumbai. The light eyed actress is shooting for Mani Rathnam's 'Guru' in Chennai when the dreaded incident took place. 'It's very sad. I wish whoever has done it would understand the gravity of the situation and what they have done. But I salute the people of Mumbai for their strength, compassion, courage and sensitivity,' she adds with vehemence.
Aishwarya Rai has always been associated with humanitarian deeds and has willingly contributed to the various tragedies that have struck the country. Like Ash, superstar Aamir Khan was not in town when the tragedy struck. He was in Satara with wife Kiran. According to him, he doesn't wish to move on with life. 'I don't want to move on. I want the guilty to be brought to light and punished for good. This just can't go on like this,' he said. He urged people to contribute heartily to the chief minister's fund. And will he be making some donations as well? 'Surely, but I don't wish to make it public,' is all he has to say.
It seems Bollywood is not all about candy floss and glycerin tears. Here's looking forward to an even more active participation from the celluloid stars to help the needy and the affected.
