ICY 'N' SPICY is destined to be India's first 3 ' D full length animation feature film and is due for release today.
It is a project which was conceived more than two years back by the young and dynamic director Anil Goyal and was brought to the drawing board nearly 18 months back. The movie is under the computer based animation phase, being executed by RTM for over 15 months now. RTM, based in Delhi, has a background in IT industry, animation and multimedia though primarily aimed at the education industry.
Well known scriptwriter Harvinder Mankkar has written the script. Having worked with two of the best known international organizations in the field of Lighting and Texturing, Manoj Kumar is heading these all important departments of the animation film Icy 'N' Spicy. One of the best animators in India, Parizat Saurabh, is working with a project team of 35 professionals of R T M Technologies Pvt Ltd. The film is being made using professional animation talent for which India has been a known outsourcing destination by the leading Hollywood film studios.
As per the makers, being the first full length 3 D feature animation made in India, the movie is likely to be a hit with all age groups; yet world wide experience shows that an animation title has a very high and lasting appeal with children. Voice over for the characters of the movies' protagonists are provided by leading professionals from the field.
Since research on Indian audience continues to underline a preference for music and songs , the movie has eight songs sung by Udit Narayan, Shaan, Vasundhra Das, Hariharan, Pomela Jain, Madhushree, Javed Ali and Vani Babbar. The score and music of the film is under the able direction of Dilip Sen.
Animation for the film has been created using high tech computer hardware and extremely powerful software to incorporate very sophisticated facial expressions of the actors and other finer nuances of human behavior. The first ever offering in its genre in the country , the film is a thoroughly Indian endeavor right from conception, characterization, animation on the computers, audio and music.
At heart it is fun, action and drama, with lead characters Icy and Spicy setting up a tone of fun and adventure, what with the special powers that both are endowed with and do not hesitate to use. With a number of other characters interacting with endearing cuteness, the film also witnesses its moments of tense action and thrills with the entry of Jindaan, the villain.
The film's duration is 90 minutes and has been made in both English and Hindi. The film comes with voice over by Akash Ahuja (Shinchen Fame), Babla Kochhar, Siraaj Khaan, Vijahat and Deepa. Creative visualization is by Ritu Goyal, Parizat Saurabh, Jatin Goyal & Deepak Chetry.
