Himesh Reshammiya is a fabulous singer, composer and an electrifying performer. He is also praiseworthy for being original in an 'inspired' world. His improvisations and unmatched energy levels are exemplary. Even his average tracks are better than the good ones of a few seasoned composers. He has been getting repetitive and he has rightly decided to cut back on work. But apart from the good points, I would also like to say that Himesh Bhai has been taking himself a wee bit too seriously. Why'Read on'
musicmazaa was the first to report that Himesh's big secret that he has been hiding from the world is that he is going to be acting in a big film 'Aap Ka Suroor-The Real Love Story'. He finally made a formal announcement during the much hyped Wembley Stadium concert in London on October 29th before a half full stadium. 'Aap Ka Suroor' is reportedly based partially on Himesh's real life love story and will be directed by Prashant Chadha (The man who directed all his music videos). It will be a big budget film produced by Vinay Taneja will have nine tracks obviously composed by Himesh himself and will be shot in eighteen countries.
Himesh also announced that he will be launching a clothing line called M3 that will be retailed at Big Bazar. The label will be shot along four lines 'Jhoom', 'Suroor', 'Jhalak' and 'Aashiq'. While all the big plans are still in pipeline he is also launching the Himesh Reshammiya School of Music in four metros. Isn't Himesh doing more than what he can handle? Firstly the biggest of musical superstars like Madonna and Britney Spears had a very average stint as an actress in the world of cinema. Back home, Sonu Nigam made a miserable attempt at being a hero and resorted to doing what he does best'Singing of course'.
It would have been better if Himesh would have rightly cut back on his work and concentrated on giving quality musical compositions rather than treading in the unknown territories. Himesh is a good music composer with a different voice that will sound best if it is not over exposed. He should not take his rockstar image too seriously for his last few films like 'Dil Diya Hai', 'Rocky' and 'Anthony Kaun Hai' to name a few were ordinary and too repetitive. As for his stint with acting'Then in a world where the likes of Shahrukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Salman Khan and even Amitabh Bachchan can't be too comfortable at the top'A Himesh Reshammiya with no acting credentials will obviously be struggling'.Jack of all and master of none'.Change gears Himesh Bhai'The whole country loves you'But it shouldn't be a case of too many identities and too little to offer'.
