By now everyone is aware the THE LAST LEAR is going through international festival curcuits before it arrives on the Indian shares.
But are you aware that THE LAST LEAR is not just all which has been in demand internationally. Reportedly the Cannes Film Festival was very keen to select Planmans Mithya (Directed by Rajat Kapoor) in their official programme for 2007. However, the film was not complete then and Planman Motion Pictures didn't want to compromise on the quality of post-production by rushing through it.
But Mithya was showcased at the recently held Osian Cinefan in New Delhi . The attendance there was tremendous, with the overfull auditorium having about a hundred people sitting on the stairs or standing in the gangways throughout the film. The audiences loved the film and clapped, whistled and cheered all through the film, a sight that is very rare these days.
After a bumper preview response, Mithya is generating tremendous response in several "A" league film festivals across the world, while in the home circuit, distributors are all too keen to lap up the film. With Sunglass- directed again by Rituporno, and I'm 24- directed by Sourabh Shukla in the last stages of post production and many more exciting projects under their belt Planman Motion Pictures sure is living upto its motto of " Professional Environment for Good Cinema".
