In yet another instance of a film being moved to a latter day in nick of time, 'Sacred Evil - A True Story' too has been pushed to June 2. Earlier it was being planned for a release this Friday.
When the movie's promotion started, it seemed to have come out of the blue as there was absolutely no buzz during the production and post-production of the film. Also the film was almost ready almost a year back and an English title with prominently foreign starcast [with an exception of Sarika] didn't really make it a conventional Bollywood release. But what made matters interesting for its makers [and the audience] is that the promos managed to create some curiosity that managed to bring in some awareness. With a contemporary Hollywood horror/drama/thriller look brought to Indian scenario, the idea clicked with the 'multiplex audience', which is in fact the target audience of the film.
Hence it doesn't sound like a step in the wrong direction to postpone the film by a couple of weeks. This time could be used to the best advantage of the film and who knows we may just have another 'Being Cyrus' in hands that turned out to be surprise average runner for an English language film!
