A popular villain since the release of ARDH SATYA and creating a place for himself in history books after SADAK, Sadashiv Amrapurkar was once a hot property in Bollywood. With number of villainous and comic roles under his belt, he was the closest competitor that the likes of Kadar Khan and Anupam Kher once had.
But over the years, especially in the 21st century, the man has more or less vanished from the big screen. He is hardly making any notable appearances and probably the last time when he was seen in a film was KOI MERE DIL MEIN HAI [2005] which starred Priyanshu Chatterjee, Rakesh Bapat, Dia Mirza and Neha.
Undoubtedly a talented actor, he was unfortunately slotted in particular kind of roles, especially when it came to comedy (the route that he took more often than being a villain) towards the later stage of his career. Slowly, he started fading away from the scene and today is completely missing from the action.
One wonders if a film maker would remember the man again and rope him in for a role that would be worthy enough for his comeback. We are waiting!
