The veteran actor of Kannada cinema the highly respected Srinivasamurthy's son Naveen Krishna (a relative of Tamil superstar Rajanikanth) in full length hero role 'Dhimaku' produced by his mother Smt. Pushpa Srinivasamurthy went on the floor at Sri Kumaraswamy temple in Hanumanthnagar Bangalore on last Sunday. Golden star Ganesh switched on the camera for the first shot while crazy star V.Ravichandran sounded the clap board.
'Dhimaku' Hindi language meaning suits the protagonist Naveen Krishna in this film. It means the one who is intelligent. In Kannada 'Dhimaku' means egotist and hot headed. But Naveen in this film is a man with intelligence who sets aside the ego centric persons in the film. In his major role for the first time he is also passing on a message that there is equal responsibility of parents and children in life.
Naveen's father Srinivasamurthy has written a song and also singing for the film. Naveen had written two songs and doing the choreography for one of the songs. Mayoori Saini (Flora Saini) is the heroine of this film. Srinivasamurthy is not doing any role in this film but he is behind the whole making of the film correcting the vision wherever it is wrong.
Rangayana Raghu, Sudha Belawadi, Sharan, Sunder Raj, Ramesh bhat, Shanker Rao, Girish, Kailash, Veelya are in the cast. Vinod Bharathi who worked as second unit cameraman for Rajanikanth's 'Sivaji' and films like Adhi, Sande Kozhi, Arya films is independently handling the cinematography in this film.
Magesh Kumar a familiar person in the TV world an ad film maker too is making debut as director with some contribution in screenplay and story department. Shanker Billemane has written the dialogues. A new lyricist Harshapriya from Bhadravathi is making debut in this film. Arjun scores the music for six songs in this film says Naveen Krishna who is brimming with happiness on his first major role in Kannada cinema.
