It was a grand welcome for nation pride Ramgopal Verma at the launch of ‘Killing Veerappan’ cinema in four languages on Saturday night at Taj West End in Bengaluru. Many of the towering film maker RGV coming to Kannada after 25 years of his career was received with honor by the Kannada cinema industry bigwigs like Dr Shivarajakumar, dream merchant V Ravichandran, super star Upendra and power star Puneeth Rajakumar. V Ravichandran unveiled the production banner GR Pictures - it is headed by Ravi Achar, Manjunath, Giri Prakash and BS Sudheendra. Rockline Venkatesh (who struggled very hard in the days of Dr Rajakumar kidnap by Veerappan) is playing a cop role.
Prul Yadav is playing de-glamorous role and there is Yagna Shetty a good performer. Sandeep of New Delhi is getting ready to come before camera as fugitive Veerappan role. RGV on stage disclosed that it required research work to arrive at the final script. I was told as ‘Fool’ when I announced already known subject as film. I am not that fool to give routine things. There is particularly one character that leads to down fall of Veerappan. That is what interested me to come up with this film. When I was hearing about that particular person, it is only Shivaraj who came to my mind. This film will be a very new experience. As developments happened in Karnataka I am shooting at this place.
This character I am eager to see from Shivaraj disclosed RGV in his address. I would work like my first film and put in all effort stated Dr Shivarajakumar. This is my first Hindi film of course with Kannada language film. I have fear how this role would shape up. I would do my honest work pointed Dr Shivarajakumar in his short and sweet address.
