There is a strong conception in Kollywood that action roles alone could make a star popular in A, B, and C centers. That is why we see almost all young stars trying to make an impact in action sequences.
Shakthi, director P. Vasu's son, seems to be different. He debuted in 'Thottal Poo Malarum', which had its share of 'action' sequences. His second venture, however, has no fight. The love story doesn't even have a villain in any form. There is no one to oppose the love between Shakthi and Sandhya in 'Mahesh, Saranya Matrum Palar', directed by P.V. Ravi. Cool Productions, which produced 'Pidichchirukku' produces this pleasant love story.
Though the movie is being shot in Kumbakonam, Thanjavore, and Chennai, the unit is planning to go to Australia for the song sequences.
The movie, which portrays the sublime nature of the love, has the pleasant music of Vidyasagar.
'Mahesh, Saranya Matrum Palar' is slated for June release.
