After a brief interval, Malayalam 'super star' Mammootty is making is comeback in Tamil with a movie titled Aruvadai. Produced by Pankaj Production Henry, the movie features Sneha opposite Mammootty.
Aruvadai is being made simultaneously as Vande Matharam in Malayalam.
Arjun, who is busy with Marudhamalai and Bommalattam, was roped in to play a prominent role in Aruvadai.
Recently a major portion of the movie was shot in East Coast Road, Mahabalipuram.
The latest buzz doing rounds is that director Karthi, a one-time associate of Mani Ratnam, who was wielding the megaphone for the movie, has pulled out of the project.
The reasons for Karthi opting out of the project are not known. Search is on for a director to replace him.
