Actor-filmmaker Kamal Haasan on Thursday met and sought permission from Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu to organise the premiere of his upcoming Telugu film "Cheekati Rajyam".
"I went to seek his permission to have the premiere of my film in Vijayawada. I also invited him to watch our film with the audience. He kindly agreed," Haasan said in a statement.
He also revealed that he plans to have two premieres -- one each in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana on the same day, and also confirmed his presence.
The show timings will have a six-hour gap facilitating travel for the stars.
The film, which was directed by Kamal's erstwhile assistant Rajesh M. Selva, is the official remake of French thriller "Sleepless Night".
The Tamil version released on Tuesday worldwide and has been received well.
"Cheekati Rajyam" also stars Prakash Raj, Trisha Krishnan, Sampath Raj and Kishore.
