Filmmaker A.R. Murugadoss's next Tamil-Telugu bilingual with superstar Mahesh Babu will be made on a budget of Rs.85 crore to Rs.90 crore, making it the most expensive film of his career, a source said.
"The film will be made approximately on a budget of Rs.85 crore to Rs.90 crore. It will be by far the most expensive film in the director's career," a source close to the filmmaker told.
Tipped to be an actioner, the film will go on the floors on April 14 on account of Tamil New Year day.
"If the makers plan to release the film by early 2017, then they will go on the floors on April 14. However, if they aim for a summer release next year, the regular shooting will only start from July later this year," the source said.
The film was rumoured to be the sequel to Murugadoss's "Thuppakki", but the source has denied it.
To be produced by Tagore Madhu, the makers are yet to finalise the leading lady.
