While the entire Indian film fraternity film buffs and also leading politicians are praising Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan for winning the prestigious Chevalier Award, the Nadigar Sangam has more reasons to feel proud as the achiever belongs to their community.
In an urgent press release Nadigar Sangam has expressed its jubilation for Ulaganayagan's latest achievement and also revealed the plans to felicitate him for winning Chevalier.
"The Government of France honoured the late Acting legend Dr.Sivaji Ganesan with the Chevalier award. Like that, today the France Government has announced the Chevalier award for our brother Ulaganayagan Dr.Kamal Haasan. We consider this as the recognition for the entire Tamil film industry and we are extremely happy about this.
(Back in 1995) Nadigar Sangam conducted a grand felicitation function for the Nadigar Thilagam for winning the Chevalier award.
