As announced earlier, actor Suriya's upcoming mega budget sci-fi flick '24' is all set to hit the screens on May 6, 2016 in both Tamil and Telugu languages. The film is made as a proper bilingual and it is releasing on a grand scale in both the languages.
The expectations for '24' among Telugu speaking audiences is extremely high than any other film primarily made in Tamil. The fast expanding fan base of Suriya in the Telugu speaking states, director Vikram Kumar, who has given Telugu blockbuster 'Ishq' and 'Manam' , Samantha and Nithya Menen who are equally popular as a heroine in Tamil and Telugu and of course the musical score of A.R.Rahman who has a Pan-Indian fan base make it a hot favourite among native Telugu speakers.
K.E.Gnanavel Raja of Studiogreen had initially sold the entire distribution rights of the Telugu version to Global Cinemas who was supposed to release the film in all the locations across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. But now, encouraged by the tremendous response for the trailers and songs, Raja has reportedly repurchased the release rights of the film in key areas such as Vizag, Guntur, East Godavari, West Godavari and Krishna districts and will be releasing the film directly under his Studiogreen banner.
That's a super confident move by Gnanavel Raja and with an extremely promising product like '24' we can be assured that this will pay off well.
