On Tuesday a light boy Saidulu (25) lost his life due to short-circuit of power in a shooting site at Ramoji Film City (RFC), and four others sustained injuries.
According to the source, at around 11:00 am during the shooting of a Tamil film this unfortunate accident happened. The unit was shooting a sequence in water, and a short-circuit resulted flow of power to the crane placed close by, hit Saidulu who was working on it at a height of 100 feet.
The crane operator Telakapalli Ravinder sustained severe injuries and is taken to Kamineni Hospital in an unconscious state. Three others who got injuries are treated at the Film City hospital. Fortunately, hero Arjun and other actors shooting at the place have narrowly escaped.
In wake of the incident all other shootings at RFC were cancelled for the whole day. This is a second accident in recent time after a Corporate function, in which hydrogen balloons explosion injuring 22 people.
