Today's big release is 'Gentleman' and it features Nani in lead role. Nani slowly entered the top league with back to back 'Blockbusters'. His 'Krishna Gadi Veera Prema Gadha' fetched him more accolades earlier. Now he is looking to continue the same run. He is back to square one and has joined hands with his debut movie director Mohan Krishna.
Niveda Thomas also makes her debut in Tollywood. The movie is a Crime thriller as shown in trailer. Story opens with two heroines and Catherine (Niveda Thomas) narrates her flashback about her boyfriend Gautam (Nani). Then Aishwarya (Surabhi) narrates her story to Catherine.
The movie started off well and it was well supported by Manisharma's music. There were lots of twists to the tale and the pace of the screenplay was also good. Intermission part is the best one and we have another twist once again. The second half is where the movie falls flat. Too much of anything is good for nothing.
Even though the second half also has twists, it just becomes 'Meh..!'. Vennela Kishore as IT manager did justice to his role. Also whenever a thriller is crafted, the knot should be opened carefully, else things will be rotten. Same mistake happens in 'Gentleman'. When the suspense is broke, everything gets too dramatic ! Overall, a good thriller, let down by a weak narration in latter half.
