Balakrishna had lots of hits to his credit. However, he has no notable hit in the recent past and is craving for one big hit.
YVS Choudary, who was one of the great fans of Nandamuri clan, turned a director and brought out hits like 'Sitaramaraju', 'Lahiri Lahiri Lahirilo'' and 'Seetaiah'. His recent film 'Devadasu' created ripples in the Telugu film industry and became one of the hit directors.
Now, he is doing a film 'Okka Magadu' with Balakrishna. In the backdrop of successive hits from YVS Choudary's 'Bommarillu Vari' banner, this film earned a craze among the audiences and film industry in general and the fans of Balakrishna in particular. It is reliably learnt that Balakrishna is playing a dual role in the film, for which Mani Sharma is providing music.
The film was formally launched at Annavaram recently and is likely to go to sets this month. Anushka was selected as one of the heroines and another is yet to be selected.
Producer-cum-director YVS Choudary is planning to release the film on April 28, when the late NT Rama Rao's blockbuster 'Adavi Ramudu' was released.
